But the title of leadership doesn't come easily, and of the 450 global business executives surveyed by HBR, less than 20 percent demonstrated the digital prowess that all businesses now need to compete.

We spoke with four Enterprisers who all put themselves in the digital leadership category, but as Tom Soderstrom, IT CTO of Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Matt Glover, CIO, and CISO of AMX, both acknowledge, there is still a steep learning curve for the “digital infants” of today. How are IT executives ensuring that their own ongoing digital education extends to their business peers and culminates in a deeper understanding of the technology trends that will drive organizations forward?

In this roundtable, you will:

  • Learn why the responsibility for digital leadership is defaulting to the CIO – and how the CIO role is evolving in order to keep up.
  • Find out why Jeffrey Guterman, chief research and innovation officer for Los Angeles County Department of Health and UCLA School of Medicine, believes true innovation lies in the space between business and technology.
  • Learn why relationship building is the secret to digital transformation, according to Cliff Tamplin, consultant and former vice president of technology support and risk management for Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
  • Learn the key ways digital leaders are designing a digital curriculum and supporting business-led IT to assist in their transformation efforts.
