It is that time of the year in certain parts of the world when we vocalize thanks for what we have. Many of us thank those who have made a difference in our personal lives. But it's also important to thank those who help us in our professional lives. This got me thinking — who exactly are we thanking when we thank enterprise IT. Well, the answer is everyone — no matter where you fall in the IT organization.

A skeptic may very well look at this as being idealistic in an imperfect world. However, the fact still remains that IT has come a long way, having overcome several bumps in the road. Let's be thankful and use this time of year to recognize the times when IT did the right things for the right reasons.
