"One of the more complex and challenging pieces of any CIO's job is building a great team, assembling a great team and keeping that great team together and growing them.  And keeping them excited over a long period of time. We have various talent pools based upon the type of talent we are looking for.

We are solving big problems. We're solving problems that only a very few technology companies have had to solve in terms of scalability. We are running our API platform at almost 10 billion transactions a day. It's 150 thousand times a second. We are doing that on open source and cloud-based infrastructure as a service. So, I believe it's probably the largest API platform on any public-based technology platform in the world.

These aren't problems that people have solved fifteen times in their career. And we can go find somebody who has that on their resume and say, hey great, do that again. I have to find people that really are excited about technology, solving problems that haven't been solved, up for the challenge of creating and inventing new ways to solve problems and doing that in a fun and team-based approach."
