Lindsey Anderson drives the thought leadership of the MIT Sloan CIO Symposium by promoting the insights of MIT's two leading IT research centers: the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy (IDE) and the MIT Sloan Center for Information Systems Research (CISR). He augments their academic insights by coupling them with the real world, global experiences of leading Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and industry experts.
In the 1990’s he first ventured into executive education by founding a company that recorded business books onto audiocassettes for executives to listen to while they commuted. Subsequently, he ran PUMA’s North American eCommerce operations. Lindsey also held eCommere and digital marketing roles at Sybase (now SAP), Monster, and UL.
After receiving his MS in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management, Lindsey had the privilege of working for an old-line, 150 year old company, American Optical. Before leading AO’s marketing of soft contact lenses, he walked the factory floor and carried a bag as a salesman.
