Deidre Paknad is the CEO and Co-Founder of Workboard, whose solution helps leaders clarify goals in real-time, align teams, and execute for fast, great results. Paknad is also known for her writing on strategic alignment, operational excellence, and harnessing/retaining millennial talent. She is frequently featured as a speaker for executive conversations including the CIO Roundtable on Managing a Multi-Generational Workforce, UC Berkeley Haas School of Business guest lecturer and panelist on Management & HR Strategy forums, and as a guest lecturer for Carnegie Mellon University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship courses. Paknad has 20 years of experience leading businesses and making markets. Her previous company, PSS Systems (which was acquired by IBM), invented a new category of software when it anticipated the challenges companies would face when expanding legal duties for information collided with extreme information volumes. She led a fast growing business within IBM for several years focused on information governance and information economics and worked with some of the world's largest companies on IT transformation. Paknad has 18 patents issued or pending, contributed significantly to the creation of industry reference models and standards (IGRM, CGOC maturity model), has authored numerous papers, and founded the CGOC (Compliance, Governance and Oversight Council) with over 3500 members. She’s twice been recognized by the Smithsonian Institution for innovation.
