Robert Pischke

Vice President of IT, Lehigh Hanson Inc.

Based in Irving, Texas, Lehigh Hanson and its affiliated companies are part of the HeidelbergCement Group, an $18 billion global market leader in aggregates used for building materials and a prominent player in the fields of cement, concrete and other construction materials.

Pischke is charged with leading the digital transformation of Lehigh Hanson both inside and out, deeply understanding the goals and objectives of the business and then developing IT-based solutions that enable the business units to deliver greater value, take advantage of new market opportunities, or empower employees and customers alike.After joining in 2011, he has led the Lehigh Hanson information technology team through application portfolio consolidation, divestitures, and solution implementations with over $60 million in direct operating income.  

He is currently spearheading a number of initiatives designed to improve the customer experience by leveraging technology megatrends like mobile, cloud and Internet of Things to deliver industry-leading service and value.  Several of these initiatives have received industry awards for their innovation, return on investment or contributions to society, including Computerworld Honors, CIO 100 and InformationWeek Elite 100. As a Pischke himself was recognized as one of Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders in 2015.  

Shortly after  Lehigh Hanson sold an $850 million non-core business unit in 2014, Pischke began leading the Lehigh Hanson integration of the Americas division of $4.2 billion Italcementi that HeidelbergCement acquired in 2016. Prior to joining Lehigh Hanson, Pischke was on the global IT leadership team at Avnet, Inc. a global electronics distributor and Fortune 120 company, doing business in 70+ countries with $26B in revenue at the time.  

During his 12-year tenure at Avnet, he obtained valuable global experience leading business outcomes through information technology with a culturally diverse set of teams in Asia, Europe, Latin America and internal clients.  He managed the global eCommerce solution which grew to over $80 million in revenue in 3 years, global business intelligence and supply chain logistics for the Americas.
